Skateboarders are, in fact, artists on skate ramps. And it is for them that Geoff McFetridge, who has a very close personal history with Vans thanks to his love of boards, has come up with a new collection of sneakers and clothing. His trademark sensibility and eclectic approach have resulted in a diverse range of graphic styles that clearly demonstrate the power of his imagery.
The OG Authentic LX and OG Slip-On LX silhouettes showcase fabrics from Geoff's favorite items, such as his well-worn painter's shirt or a personal bag that he hasn't let out of his hand in at least 20 years. The OG Style 38 NS silhouette, in turn, showcases McFetrifdge's "Jump" label, and you can look forward to minimalist, hand-drawn sketches of characters and silhouettes in the OG Lampin LX model.
In addition to sneakers, the Vans Vault X Geoff McFetridge collection also features hoodies, classic sweatshirts, hats, bags, and socks. Take to the streets in a complete outfit with creative expression, timeless style, and Geoff McFetridge's personal signature.
It all began in 1978, when Paul Van Doren wanted to create a similar model to the iconic #36, known today as Vans Old Skool. His goal was to design a functional and high-top shoe that will suit all skateboarders and that will provide a whole new point of view. He succeeded and introduced a new model #38, known as Vans Sk8-Hi, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year! Of course he didn´t forget the legendary sidestripe. Celebrate with us and we´ll leave it to you to pick your style.
Suede: leather cut from the back, while the fibers remain on the surface, suede is less prone to damage than nubuck.
Textile: The textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support.
Wafer: The legendary sole that will never lose touch with the surface. It is especially typical for Vans sneakers.
Van Doren Rubber Co. was established in 1966 by Paul Van Doren in Anaheim, California when he tried to mold soles on a classic waffle maker. For many people, it might have been a bizarre idea at that time but from today's perspective, it has led to one of the greatest milestones in the production of modern footwear. We at Footshop offer Vans apparel, sneakers and accessories for men, women, and children in many styles and colours.
