Saucony is a more than 100-year-old brand hailing from the East Coast of the USA. Just as the north of Italy is dedicated to the craft of shoemaking, all the good sneaker brands from America come from the East Coast and nearby cities like Boston, Philadelphia, and more. The Saucony brand, which has the slogan “sock a knee” on every box to make it easy to remember how to pronounce the brand’s name, comes from the small town of Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
But Footshop is not Wikipedia, nor is it a museum of historical artifacts, so you’re sure to find all the stuff about Saucony on your own. What’s more important to us is the fact that Saucony running shoes currently round out the offerings in our Active section and that we’ve sent out the first Saucony sneaker samples to the running community we’re currently forming as the Footshop Active Club.
As much as we are experts in streetwear and sneakers, just as we always deliver the hottest releases and novelties from brands like BAPE, Palm Angels, and OFF-White, we are now working with the same passion with the Active category, so we have selected only the best that the brand currently offers for runners for the Saucony launch.
Our main test model was the Saucony Xodus Ultra 3. The lightweight pair of sneakers weighing only 259 grams is designed for the trail challenges, and together with runners from the No Miles No Smiles running community, we put them to the test on a trail leading from the epicenter of Prague’s coffee shops to the rocky peaks above Prague. We gave them a taste of the hot asphalt in the middle of summer, as well as the intense storm and the run over the horizon of the metropolis. They didn’t disappoint for a single moment. The Saucony Xodus Ultra 3 is a very lightweight and comfortable sneaker for everyday trail running and challenging conditions. They can handle cross-country running between surfaces, wet rocks, and dry forest trails, making them the perfect partner for a wide range of running workouts for experienced runners and complete beginners alike who will enjoy their versatility and comfort.
Keep up to date with Saucony’s offerings at Footshop, join the Footshop Active Club on Strava, and be part of the community.
