Last year, the American brand Vans unveiled a special collaboration inspired by the work of photographer Ralph Steadman. This year, they are following it up with a collaboration with Jim Goldberg, an American photographer and artist, whose work has a specific element to it – he lets his subjects add their commentary to the photographs.
Jim Goldberg’s work speaks for itself. Goldberg letting his subjects add their own thoughts right into the picture is undoubtedly unique. These thoughts and commentaries are often explicit and give us a glimpse into the often unflattering story behind the pictures.
Vans was inspired by his work, and after last year’s successful collaboration, presents a new collection that borrows from the world of photography. You can choose between five unique colorways of the Slip-On, Old-Skool and SK8-Hi silhouettes, as well as a red hoodie and more.
