It’s like it was yesterday, when I was giving winter recommendations. Now some time has passed, the pandemic is still here and the first spring flowers are slowly starting to grow to take a look how the sneaker game has changed. They definitely won’t be disappointed, perhaps partially thanks to this article, which will help you choose the best men’s sneakers for spring.
If you’ve taken a quick look ahead at the selection, you’ve probably noticed that won’t be about the classics. Most other articles on this topic would probably recommend Old-Skools or Air Max 90s, but writing that again seems useless, doesn’t it? In this list, I’ve compiled for you the latest, mostly lesser known, models that may have slipped under your radar. These models are so beautiful, and so ideal for spring, that it would be a shame for them to go unnoticed. Anyway, let’s not delay this anymore, I hope you enjoy.
NIKE DAYBREAK
It’s totally understandable if you’re hearing about the Daybreak series for the very first time. After many years in the Nike archive, the sneakers were rediscovered by Jun Takahashi and his brand Undercover, who used the silhouette 2 years ago, as his starting model for a collaboration with Nike. Since then, Nike Daybreak has started to be released regularly, now even in a sustainable version, and with a lightness in every step that only few models have. We have them currently at Footshop in 30 colours.
ADIDAS x PHARREL WILLIAMS x NIGO TOKIO SOLAR HU
Two legends of streetwear. That’s one undeniable way to describe Pharrel Williams and Nigo, who last year celebrated two successful decades of contributing to the development of streetwear culture side by side. Their work has significantly contributed to streetwear’s current form. They celebrated this anniversary with another release in collaboration with adidas. The result is a new version of the Tokio Solar – the silhouette first published in 1962 as a racing model for the Tokyo Summer Olympics. A sneaker resurrection in its truest sense. NIKE BLAZER
Spring or winter, it doesn’t really matter with Blazers. Not only do they come in both high and low versions, so you don’t really need anything else for your wardrobe, but more importantly, their leather is somehow exactly ideal, so you won’t freeze in them in January, and won’t be cooked alive in July. The Nike Blazer was first released in 1974 as the first basketball to carry the iconic Swoosh on its side. REEBOK X STORY MFG. CLUB C 85
STORY mfg. is a British brand, founded on clear, though not that common, but very agreeable (at least for Footshop) principles. The “Positive Product Manifesto” from STORY mfg. emphasises the laws of nature, human virtue and responsible production. All these elements are included in this collaboration with Reebok on the iconic Club C silhouette.

NIKE WAFFLE
Similarly to the already mentioned Nike Daybreak, the Waffle line has also been resurrected after more than 40 years as part of a renewed line of legendary running sneakers, adapted to meet today’s requirements and expectations. You can find various versions on our website. The ones in the beautiful pictures by @1000sneakers are the Waffle Trainers, but more are waiting online, including the futuristicWaffle Racer Crater, made of renewable materials.
Y-3 YOHJI STAR
The more serious events of spring and pleasant summer evenings may also require more elegant footwear. That’s where Y-3 comes in, transforming inspiration from classic adidas silhouettes into a shoe that carries the magical touch of Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. Yohji Star is a wonderful example of inconspicuous luxury, which you can find much more of in our Y-3 offering.
ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14
The running shoe of 2008 according to Runner’s World. Today, the Asics Gel-Kayano can do much more than just support comfortable running. The current fashion trends have finally caught up with their timelessness, which is why Asics are sending them back into the game. They’re still definitely a running shoe, but also an increasingly popular everyday sneaker that perfectly matches a sporty but elegant outfit.
