The spotlight in which the legendary adidas Superstar silhouette finds itself in 2020 bears new fruits. This time, the sneaker, celebrating half a century in stores, serves as the starting point for the latest Pharrell x adidas Superstar Primeknit Human Race Pack collaboration.
The names of Pharrell’s collaborations are always very complicated, to the point where adidas themselves get confused every now and then. This collaboration’s results however are simple and systematic. It presents a total of 5 (almost) one-colour models, coloured in yellow, beige, purple, green and chocolate brown. Each has a Human Race inscription on the heel.
An interesting feature used with the Superstar silhouette in this collaboration is the use of Primeknit on the upper of the shoe. Primeknit is a flexible textile material that gives the shoe better breathability, and let’s it adapt to the shape of the foot much better than the original model with its leather upper.
