If you don’t recognize the name Sean Wotherspoon, it’s time to make amends. Sean is the co-founder of Round Two, which has multiple stores across the USA, equipped with vintage clothing and sneakers. Round Two also functions as a consignment store for the latest releases of Supreme and similar “resell” brands.
Sean also won this year’s annual Air Max Day challenge from Nike – the way it works is as follows: Nike picks 10 creative people to design their own version of the Air Maxes and then people vote who the winner should be. The winner’s design is then mass-produced and sold. Sean had some help from Lil Yachty on this one, though – as a customer of Round Two, he made a post on Instagram, urging his fans to vote for Sean’s design.
Sean was a true “Nikehead”, and his collection is an excellent archive of Nike’s rich history and heritage. However, this changed at the end of last year, when Sean’s contract with Nike ended and different brands started appearing on his feet, including Asics, adidas and New Balance.

This year, we can expect a collaboration between Asics, Sean and atmos Japan, in a similar spirit as his 97/1 Air Maxes.

The second collaboration is, as mentioned, with adidas, but there isn’t a lot of available information about this release. At the moment, all we know is that it should be released this year, and should feature either the Samba or the Stan Smith silhouette. An image of Stan Smith x Sean Wotherspoons sneakers made rounds on the internet, but it turned out to be a fake. What’s certain is that the sneakers are going to be 100% plant based, because Sean is a strict vegan (incidentally, he’s also the co-owner of the high-end vegan restaurant Nic’s on Beverly).
