One of the most experimental releases of the season is arriving soon at Footshop. This time, the Nike x READYMADE collaboration literally dismantled Nike’s oldest basketball silhouette, the Blazer. The result is a deconstructed collection of two Nike Blazer x READYMADE colorways, bringing a futuristic look to one of the most essential models in the history of sneakers. At the same time, the sneakers remain true to the DNA of the original model and the premium Japanese brand.
The new READYMADE x Nike collaboration is a little bit of everything. Past and future, legacy and vision, comfort and style all simultaneously. Part of the READYMADE philosophy is undoubtedly sustainability, which played an important part in the choice of material. That’s why a substantial part of the sneakers is made from recycled Nike factory waste, known since last year as the Nike Grind.
Another interesting aspect is the very unusually shaped Swoosh – the Nike logo, which, compared to the standard, is much narrower, sharper and especially in the bend, looks very unique. This is part of the legacy, inspired by the original Nike Swoosh from 1971.
