Footshop and KangaROOS present their second collaborative effort

Originally, our plan was to make a limited Friends and Family edition as our second collaboration with Kangaroos. But after a slight misunderstanding last year, we agreed to make the sneaker publicly available, so here it is. During the celebration of our first store’s fifth anniversary, we presented the Footshop x KangaROOS Ultimate 3 “Flip”.

Our work with the German brand KangaROOS started last year, when we created a new colorway for the Ultimate 3 silhouette. Our inspiration for the colorway was Prague, Footshop’s birthplace and the home of its first store. The sneakers featured a bordeaux red, typical for a lot of the roofs in Prague.

Our second collaborative effort celebrates the anniversary of our first store. The inspiration this time is still Prague, but the focus has shifted to the details – the new sneakers are inspired by the Orco building at Bubenská, which is where Footshop’s first store was located. Another building that influenced Peter Kovy Kováč, the sneaker’s designer, was the National museum. The back panels of the shoes feature two logos – one belongs to Footshop, the second one is the symbol of the National museum.

This time around, the number of sneakers is much lower, but you can still get your own pair, either online or at one of our stores!
